About the third vaccination of the COVID-19 Vaccine

For the time being, we will use the vaccine by Pfizer. Also Takeda/Moderna Vaccine is used.

The following documents are required for application. Please mail it or bring it to the Tottori City Hall counter.
Application for a vaccination ticket for the third vaccination of the corona vaccine (Word version （32KB）/ PDF version（73KB）) (in Japanese)
Power of attorney (Word version（29KB）/ PDF version（75KB）) ( in Japanese) is required when applying for someone other than the person himself / herself such as for relatives living in the same household.

Q Why should I consider a booster vaccination (third vaccination)?
A Although the vaccines being used in Japan have a high prevention effect, the infection prevention effect and the aggravation prevention effect may gradually decline over time. Q What is the effect of booster vaccinations (third vaccinations)?

Q What are the side effects of booster vaccination (third vaccination)? Are they heavier than those of the second vaccination?
A In the case of Pfizer's vaccine, it has been confirmed that the tendency of side effects to occur is almost the same as after the second vaccination. Q Is there any benefit of an additional (third) dose of vaccination against the Omicron strain?
A The efficacy of the first (1st and 2nd) dose of vaccination against the Omicron strain is significantly lower than that of the Delta strain, but it is suggested to booster this efficacy with a third doses.
